Marian Outreach Center

Our Mission

We who minister in the Marian Outreach Center at St. Lucy Church are challenged by the message of the gospel to respond to the needs of the poor through advocacy and direct service.

Our Vision

In imitation of Our Lord who taught his disciples and sent them on mission to proclaim the kingdom, we are called to serve the poor physically and spiritually as Jesus served them with respect, compassion, devotion and generosity.

Accepting this challenge we endeavor to reach out in a spirit of love and justice to those in need, in body, mind and spirit, regardless of race, creed or color.  It is in serving them that Christ is met.

Caring for individuals, families and seniors who are economically poor, homeless, jobless, mentally andphysically challenged, Marian Outreach Center provides physical, psychological and spiritual assistance to those who seek our help.

Our commitment to the poorest and under-served is our priority. As advocates we are voices for the voiceless, seeking justice for
the basic human needs and rights for each person. We are not restricted to race, religion or creed: The presence of the Church is an automatic magnet in the area, which draws not only the Catholic, but also the non-denominational sector to our doors with the expectation that they will receive help.

Our goal is to turn no one away without some assistance, either ours, or referral to another organization.  We are a full service  center with a wide range of services designed to meet the identified needs of the community.

Marian Outreach Center assists more than 20,000 children and adults each year.  Each week, 70 to 90 families’ lives are touched by the caring assistance provided by our staff and volunteers.
